In 2023, while in India, I made a point to track down a UAE-made batch of the 150ml Club de Nuit Intense Man Pure Parfum, as the local fragrance community warned that the French-made versions lacked quality and performance. That UAE batch was phenomenal—its scent profile, longevity, and sillage were on par with early-batch Creed Aventus, and I enjoyed every single spray.
In 2024, hoping to recapture that experience in Canada, I purchased multiple batches of the Pure Parfum from various retailers. Unfortunately, every single one was "Made in France," as UAE batches were nowhere to be found locally. Even after months of maceration, the French versions were a massive disappointment—lacking depth, projection, and longevity, performing more like a watered-down body spray than a parfum.
After losing hope in the Pure Parfum, I hesitantly bought this Extrait de Parfum following the heavy praise from YouTube reviewers. Thankfully, this bottle is Made in the UAE. Right out of the box, the scent profile itself closely resembles the fantastic Pure Parfum I bought in India. However, the longevity and sillage are currently non-existent, leaving me baffled by the exaggerated hype on YouTube.
Since this is a newly produced UAE batch, I am setting it aside to macerate for a few months in hopes that the performance develops and brings back those great memories.
My advice to buyers:
1. Do not blindly trust YouTube reviewers; always test the fragrance for yourself first.
2. Avoid "Made in France" batches of the Club de Nuit line at all costs—they simply do not compare to the UAE productions.
3. If you buy this Extrait, be prepared to let a fresh batch sit and mature before judging its final performance.
