This was not only a love at first spray (on skin) but it has grown even more for me the more I wear it. The name Sunshine Man is so incredibly fitting. Even though this perfume feels linear to me, I am more than fine with that because of how gorgeous it is. This, to my nose, is a very subtle roller coaster ride. I can definitely pick up all of the Top Notes & fairly easy. The Orange, Brandy & Lavender are to die for, and the Immortelle (I feel) helps add a smokey-esque nature to it, helping anchor it down. As it starts to settle on my skin, I do pick up the Middle notes of Clary Sage & Juniper Berries, though not as much as the Bergamot, but in general, those all just add that little "bump" in the roller coaster that I mentioned earlier. The Top Notes, to my nose, stick around the entire time. Initially almost coming off as some weirdly beautiful artisan cocktail that you might find at a hidden gem cafe in Paris. As it gets to the base notes, they seem to take that cocktail & almost turn it into a beautiful dessert pastry. I can't pick out the Cedar itself, but I do pick up on a slight "spicy" edge that I believe would be that note.
I've found that 4 sprays (2 on either side of my neck towards the back, 1 on the front of my neck & 1 on my chest) will last an astounding 12 hours or more. This perfume is about as far from "offensive" as I could possibly imagine. If anything, it's the contrary, being that it's so incredibly inviting. I've found that this one best shines (get it?) outside. I wouldn't choose to wear this in a room with AC but instead when I know I'm going to be outdoors, as a beautiful warm wind will give me constant reminders why I love Sunshine Man so very much.
